I had my hair bleached and colored dark blue underneath the top layer of my hair (It's scene hair...). The blue is a stain. I'm going to buy hair extensions and I want to color them blue to match the blue under my hair but I don't want to ruin the extensions or waste the stain.
Is it okay to dye it with a stain? I know you're not supposed to really color synthetic hair with actual dye, but would a stain be different?

Don't waste the stain.
Synthetic hair extensions are maid from acrylic, and they will NOT absorb any of the stain, fortunatlly they are NOT very expensive, so you may just want to buy some that already match your color!
