Thanks, this was very educational. I am 2 years natural and learning my hair every day! You are so right, each idea, each video, each suggestion must be thought about and used in a way that best fits the individual.
ReplyDeletewell I cut my ends and I hate that I did, nothing was wrong with them, I don't use heat I just assumed it would make it grow faster, but aww well I shouldn't have....now I wont be cutting my ends but maybe once a year smdh
ReplyDeleteI didn't clip my ends until a year after my BC, but that's just me. If you want, flat iron your hair (with heat protectant!!!!) and cut them or get it professionally done.
ReplyDeleteme no understand English!
ReplyDeleteNo, I transitioned for about 7-8 months. So I had new growth that had not been relaxed. After I grew about 3-4 inches I cut off all of the relaxed ends. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you 'chop' your hair then isn't your hair still permed for a while orrr? I don't get it ... Help
ReplyDeleteYour hair has the most beautiful texture & shine I've ever seen. What was your hair texture like before the transition?
ReplyDeleteThank you ... I needed to hear this .
ReplyDeleteyou beautiful,,,are you still single??
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that you've grown your hair beautifully the old fashioned way without supplements and such. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI have been natural since September 2012... I big chopped.. Ii want it to grow fast lol but I'm enjoying the journey! I don't have a regimine and I'm a product junkie... I haven't started clipping my ends yet should I? Is not that long as it is

ReplyDeleteWish I was that bold!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did do the big chop! :)
ReplyDeleteSo my question is...did you cut off your hair before starting the "natural" hair regimen?
ReplyDeleteHi! I love your hair! It looks healthy. I started to finally pay attention to.my hair. I don't relax it much anymore (1-2 times a year). I don't want to cut 4/5 of my hair just to go "natural".
ReplyDeleteNatural energy that makes you look better and feel great!
ReplyDeletepress channel to see!
if no one in your family has your length then its not really all about genetics...its about how you consistently take care of your hair. i think genetics play a SMALL role. just MY opinion. the grade or texture of you hair is all about genetics though but i don't think growth and length does...again, just MY opinion.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! That is a very nice thing to say! :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that the videos help you!!!! Congrats on your one year and continue to enjoy the journey! Thank you so much for stopping by my channel! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to see a black woman confident enough about her natural self that she doesn't put wigs, weaves, nor perm in a desperate attempt to look like anything other than her black self. If only black women would follow your example and understand that they're beautiful as themselves, that coarse hair should be prided over and not be seen as an anathema. Anyways, from a brother to a fellow sister, congratulations on your progress; You are a role model that black women should follow.
ReplyDeleteYur videos help me alot its been a year for me without a relaxer it's going well
ReplyDeleteI love love love yur videos they help
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Let me know how your journey is going! I appreciate you for watching! :)
