Day 20 - Something You Drew - Photo of the Day
I drew this on real paper with a real pencil. (You may see my sketch in Comments.)

The following is The Story, with which I may have taken a few liberties:
When you wish upon a star
Makes no diference who you are.
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you . . .
"I wish that I may
Escape this woe,
Leave the tower,
To the outside world go."
Rapunzel's parents were famous botanists who grew extra-nutritious greens. They named their daughter after one of these. It had the combined nutrition of spinach and broccoli with an appearance much like a greenish rose and a taste reminiscent of green grapes.
Stolen from her parents by a rogue witch, the young girl was flown to a tall tower that had no doors and only one window, storeys about the ground, in an enchanted rose garden. The day after the abduction, the rogue magic-user, who was given to rash actions and considered her own self something of a scientist, lost her flying broom in an experiment in which Rapunzel ended up with ultra-fast growing flaxen hair.
It became their custom that after going out to get supplies and while she was beneath the tower window, the enchantress, Gothel, would call out, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair." Then Sorceress Gothel would climb up the girl's braided hair. By the time she became an older teenager, Rapunzel was desperate to escape and wished upon a star. Fortunately, in that magical rose garden wishing upon a star worked magically.
When a young astronomer and amateur parkour expert named Jacob Wilhelm happened to visit the rose garden, he encountered The Tower and ended up courting Rapunzel. She would let down her hair, and he would climb up. They were close to finalizing a plan to bring in a fire-truck ladder, when the enraged Gothel caught them together. She pushed Jacob Wilhelm out the window. He landed in a specimen rose bush which was grown to showcase especially sharp thorns.
To make a long story short, and this being a magical rose garden and a magical star wish, eventually Gothel received appropriate punishments (left up to your own views on the healing power of compassion but karmic necessity for justice).
Rapunzel and Jacob Wilhelm had many thrilling adventures together, eventually founding a famous preparatory school which combined the teaching of magic, astronomy, botany, and parkour. Their children feature prominently in many famous stories of back-in-the-day magic.make hair grow faster
