I have similar hair. I like the recent Miley Cyrus waves or even Kim Kardasian. Also try high-layering with the highest layer the length of your chin. Side bangs are nice but only usually work if you have a straightener to style it. Also, with layers, try out a shoulder hung 'loose fitted' ponytail. Be sure to use hairspray to keep from fly-aways. A haircut that lenghthens your body won't be cut straight across or a U shape. If you looked at the back of your head, you would see a subtle V.
