I've dyed it and highlighted it alot over the years. Mainly black or put red/blonde highlights in it.And it could possibly be from the sun too. My natural hair color is dark brown. Right now the roots are dark brown but the rest is a light brown/reddish color.

This is what I would do.
Let it grow back out. It's the best way. I let my blonde highlights, which were a huge mistake, grow out and over time it blended well together. Didn't even notice when it grew out
