My hair is always flat at the top of my head when i curl it with a curling wand. I try to curl it close to my scalp but the hair curled around the wand gets loose and isnt curled at the top. I also have a side part for my hair??

What I try and do is curl the hair under, that gives the look of more volume, using rollers As well is great for volume, or you could tease your hair, your hair could even be to long and heavy for what your doing to work.
