I've been wanting a haircut for ages but the problem I've had with living in Sydney is that my hairdresser is in Brisbane (I love you all at Flavr!!). After a less than impressive haircut at a salon that will remain unnamed I instead opted to just wait until I had a Brisbane trip and go visit my 'local'.
As I've been here a year now it became time to find somebody down here I was impressed with. After asking around for some recommendations I was told that Head Over Heels in Newtown did a good job. As they're very local for me I decided to give them a go.
Spent 90mins with stylist Ben, who before doing anything wanted to know about my hair and then made suggestions about styles. Quick wash and we were off. Started to fret a bit as a lot of my long locks hit the deck but he finished and most of my length remained along with a new style that's softer and moves more. Not sure how I feel about so much hair in my fringe area but said I'd give it a couple of days to get accustomed to. Making followup appointment for 2 weeks time to get the fringe trimmed and see how I like the new do. Have to say I'm impressed so far, it stood up to the walk home in the breeze and with my sunnies on it mostly stays on the side where it should be. Price was right too coming in at under 0.hair stylist jobs
